Q-Commerce POS Integration API

Introduction

Q-commerce POS integration enables our partners to use the POS integration API to receive and manage the incoming orders from Delivery Hero. Potential users of our POS Integration API are the supermarkets and the POS service providers who are technically capable of connecting their own ERP/ POS systems to our API.

Key features of the API Integration

POS Integrated partners can choose to 1) fulfill orders using their own systems (Direct Integration) and call our API to update order status or 2) fulfill using Delivery Hero pelican application (Indirect Integration). Following is the detailed overview of Direct and Indirect Integration.

  1. Direct Integration - Partners can fulfill orders using their own POS systems. The following illustration explains the overall order flow with Direct Integration. Refer to this API documentation https://partners-stg.deliveryhero.io/redoc/ for more details and try our API with the test environment provided.

Direct Integration

  1. Indirect Integration - Partners can fulfill orders using Delivery Hero’s pelican application. Once the order is fulfilled, they will receive a copy of the order in their webhook. The following illustration explains the overall order flow with Indirect Integration. Refer to this API documentation https://partners-stg.deliveryhero.io/redoc/ for more details and try our API with the test environment provided.

Indirect Integration

Testing the API

Regardless of whether the partner is a POS service provider or a Grocery store, they can try and play around with our test API without having to contact Delivery Hero representatives. The test environment provides an excellent Interface for our partners to test all the order fulfillment cases such as 1) Fulfilling the whole order 2) Partial fulfillment due to Item out of stock and 3) Order cancellations

Playground

Go to playground

You can use this playground to test your webhook before having real/production implementation. By using the information below you can set your webhook URL and secret to protect your webhook.

Getting credentials for production

Any partner can reach out to their local Delivery Hero representatives to get credentials of the live stores in their respective markets. They will be provided with a login id and password using which partners can access an interface (similar to test playground UI) where they can configure their webhook url and get their bearer token for accessing API .

Terms and Conditions

After Integrating with us, partners should inform Delivery Hero about their upcoming system maintenance by sending an email to q-commerce@deliveryhero.com at least 24 hours in advance. This is compulsory for both Direct and Indirect flows.

The integration might be disabled by Delivery Hero whenever orders are not reaching the webhook and the relevant contact is not responding. The integration will be reactivated once the issue is fixed by the webhook developer.
